Samsung Telecommunication America, Overland Park, KS   January 2012 – till date

Designation: System Test Engineer

 

·   Involved in certifying the Samsung MSC, EPC and IPMGW with Sprint network elements for 3G, LTE and IMS platform. It involves supporting various protocols like MAP, IS826, ISUP, A-interface, IS-41, A-interface, SIP, MEGACO, RTP and extended-DNS, Diameter, S1a, S6a.

·   Tested flavors of Sprint services like Prepaid services, CALEA, e911, CMAS, LBS, CRBT, VMS, WPS, IVR, IVHHO, Billing.

·   Tested flavors of sprint network functionality like eCSFB, SIP IOT, DNS(CRF) routing functionality,  OAM and redundancy, Capacity and overload testing of Samsung MSC, EPC and IP MGW.

·   Supported SIP IOT with different vendors like Ericson, ALU, NGVN, Plexus and Sprint’s peering partners, Google’s IMS Waterpolo platform and other IMS carrier platform.

·   Tested interaction between different 3G/4G Sprint network elements like MSC, IPMGW, MME , IWS, SGW, PGW, HSS, TAS, SBC, PCRF, MPC, BSC, HLR, SMSC, CMAS, BSC, NPDB ENUM server and other vendor networking elements.

·   Assist the Manager and 3G core and LTE Network Lab with forecasting for testing needs in advance to ensure that the proper test equipment is in place. Train lab users on test equipment, procedures and lab capabilities.

·   Involved in Certifying the EMS for managing and monitoring Network elements.

·   Engineer, configure, operate and troubleshoot and provide RCA for issues with the 3G Core and LTE network lab

 

 

Cricket Communications, Rolling Meadows, IL                     August 2010 – January 2012

Designation: System test Engineer

 

·   Successfully lead the Cricket SCP IS826 certification at the Sprint lab for the Cricket and Sprint Partnership of MVNO and MVNE project.

·   Design, develop and implement integration testing and planning of Cricket communications prepaid and postpaid services utilizing Gx and Gy Diameter interface(CCR, CCA, RAR , RAA messaging) with Convergys PCRF for OCF and OFCS system and SS7 network

·   Participate in UAT and end to end testing in real time network elements like NSC (SCP), HLR, VLR, IAM, IRB and the front end ESP applications for voice and data charging.

·   Involved in analyzing the billing and call related CDR’s in production environment.

·   Worked on prepaid and postpaid billing migration project.

 

Huawei Technologies India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, India     April 2007 – April 2010

·  In depth understanding of the Huawei IMS architecture.

·  Tested and lead the team for SCP Prepaid Charging services, Convergent Billing Service, Ring Back tone, Muliti Sim, VIrtual Private Network services, seamless roaming services for GSM and CDMA network.

·  Manage script creation for regression and stress testing and automated test cases using  TTCN3, SSPtool, GTR, Quality Center, etc. Used tools like Visual Source Safe, PVCS, Bugzilla for repository, reporting and tracking bugs, and providing updates on resolved bugs.

·  Tested various telecom protocols like SS7, TCAP, MAP, SIP, Diameter, INAP, CAP, PARI, CS1+ and CDMA at stack and service level for SCP.

·  Tested SCP as DCC client and server for Diameter protocol for Pre-paid and postpaid services adhering to RFC 3588 and RFC 4006.

·  Tested Short Messaging Interface, Prepaid inter-operator Roaming support(using INAP CS-2/CAMEL/WIN standard interface)
